Vehicle Technician Team Leader

We require a Vehicle Technician Team Leader to be responsible for the day to day management of a team of workshop technicians, apprentices and volunteers. 

Working in a new state of the art workshop this role offers an opportunity to work within a unique historic engineering environment, whether it be vehicles on static display, or those that form part of our historic running collection.

This is a hands on role in ensuring maintenance, repair and overhaul projects are completed to a high standard. The Vehicle Technician Team Leader is a key role in supporting the Workshop Manager on technical know how and the management of projects.

You will need a health & safety & IOSH qualification relevant to a workshop environment together with NVQ level 3, or equivalent experience in maintaining and repairing heavy vehicles and sub systems. Experience of diagnostic mechanical fault finding , DC electrical and hydraulic systems are required. A proven track record of managing a team is needed for this role. A full driving licence is essential.

Salary - £32,000

Hours - Full Time, 37.5hrs per week. Monday - Friday, occasional weekend working

Contract - Permanent

Location - Onsite at The Tank Museum
