Workshop Assistant (Kickstart Placement)

This is a kickstart placement available to 16-24 year olds out of work and on universal credit.

This placement will be involved in supporting the Workshop Team in keeping the workshop clean and tidy, general maintenance of the vehicles, looking after workshop tools, equipment and parts. The Tank Museum operates a vehicle rides fleet during the summer season and also new for 2021 five self-drive mini tanks. The placement will assist in the running of the rides and mini tanks ensuring that our visitors have a great experience. Assisting in maintaining and keeping clean the ride vehicles and mini tanks. Cash handling and working with the public will be involved.

At the end of this 6-month period the placement will have gained valuable working experience in an engineering environment. This placement could lead to application of our Workshop Technician Apprenticeship Scheme starting in September 2021.

25 hours per week
