The Media Department at The Tank Museum is responsible for all the museum's AV requirements. As Film Maker you'll be working within the Media Team filming, editing, and delivering content for adverts, exhibitions, and most importantly, for our huge online audience.
In the last 12 months, The Tank Museum’s YouTube channel has had 116 million views to date and currently generates 350k hours of watch time per month. We have the biggest museum YouTube audience in the world with 600k subscribers and we have ambitions to achieve even more in 2024. You can be sure that your work will be seen.
The Media Team sits within the Marketing Department, which is responsible for generating visitors, promoting The Tank Museum’s brand and telling the story of tanks and the people who served in them to the widest possible audience.
This role is perfect for someone who loves to be busy and flex their creative muscles in a fast-paced, friendly workplace. You could be filming a veteran telling their story, heavy tanks in action at Tankfest, inside a moving Tiger Tank or editing one of our YouTube series episodes. You'll have input from initial concept through to having a say in the thumbnail and will work with colleagues across the whole Museum – no two days will be the same.
