Cataloguing & Research Assistant - Kickstart Scheme

This is a 6 month placement available only to 16-24 year olds who are out of work and on universal credit. We must have received your introduction ID from the DWP before an application is considered.

As part of the Archive & Library and Curatorial Team the Cataloguing and Research Assistant will work under the supervision of the Archive and Supporting Collections Manager on a range of cataloguing and Archive & Library Projects supporting the work and objectives of The Tank Museum.

At the end of the 6-month period the placement will have gained valuable working experience and training on cataloguing and research. You will have a more compelling CV with hands on experience in cataloguing and research in a large and successful Museum.

A relevant qualification would be desirable with some experience of working in a similar environment. More important is a keen interest in 20th century military history with the desire to pursue a museum or research career.

Salary - National Minimum Wage (applicable to age)

Contract - 25 hours per week
